Asif Ali Zardari elected as President of Pakistan over the second time

Asif Ali Zardari has won a second term as Pakistan’s president.

Asif Ali Zardari has been re-elected by Pakistani legislators to serve as Pakistan’s president. Mr. Zardari is father of previous foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto & widower of Benazir Bhutto, the lady politician who was murdered.

Pakistani Legislators of both the national & local levels awarded Zardari 411 ballots. Without a backing of former prime minister Imran Khan’s party, Where as Mehmood Khan Achakzai, the other candidate of presidential election got 181 ballots.

The office of president of Pakistan serves as mainly an honorary position!

Mr. Zardari served the title from 2008 till 2013. Zardari became the combined nominated by PM Shehbaz Sharif’s party, the governing Pakistan Muslim League, or the PML-N, alongside their companions throughout politics.
