Islamabad: On Monday, the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) confirmed former president Musharraf ‘s death penalty given by a specialized court.The supreme court ruled because Pervez Musharraf’s family failed to pursue the proceeding despite having repeated warnings, and Pervez Musharraf’s appeal was denied. The Supreme Court of Pakistan subsequently overruled the Punjab High Court’s judgment. The Supreme Court determined that Punjab High Court’s judgment to overturn the special court’s proceedings violated the regulations.
