FBR seized hazardous and illegally operated a big cigarettes plant in Bhan Saidabad, Sindh

The FBR sealed off a hazardous & illegally operating tobacco plant located in the Bhan Saeedabad geography of district Jamshoro.

According Sources: The hazardous & illegally operating tobacco manufacturing Company owned by two (2) prominent individuals names have come to light as company owners, one of them is a Senator who is representing a political party, while another is a close friend of Chief Minister Sindh, Murad Ali Shah.

FBR Officers Mumtaz Thebo along with Additional Director, Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation (I&I), and Akhtar Hussain, Deputy the Commissioner, FBR Inland Revenue Hyderabad, executed search operations on the manufacturing facility. During the investigation, several Khyber Pakhtunkhwa citizens had been found generating cigarettes with the help of local workers while marketing them across Pakistan, which caused a monthly revenue shortfall of over 270 million rupees that drained the country’s revenues. More..>>
