The Sindh High Court has been told that currently, there are more than 2,769 government schools without teachers in Sindh. A single bench headed by Justice Salahuddin Panhwar, was informed that teacher hiring process has recently been begun and Scrutiny committees are notified to rise in school strength based on population.

The SHC issued a show cause notice to the additional secretary of the finance department on his absence without prior intimation in court, and the court summoned the secretary of finance with the direction to appear and provide an explanation for the delay in approving the statement of new expenditures (SNEs) submitted by the School Education Department for the restoration of bolted schools.
The SHC was hearing the petition filed in 2019, and formerly SHC had passed various orders on the subject matter. At the last trial, the court ordered the education authorities of the government of Sindh to frame recruitment rules after it was informed that more than 7,000 teachers of public schools in the province were likely to retire by the end of December 2025.
