The initial shipping container arrived in Gaza
The initial ship freight containing food to Palestine reached Gaza early morning of Tuesday.
The beginning of an unregulated sea channel will deliver supplies to the thousands of Palestinians who, according to the UN, have been on the cusp of hunger.
The container ship was pulling a vessel that was holding around 200 metric tonnes of rice, flour, as well as other supplies by International Center Kitchen with a nonprofit agency.
Israel continues to maintain on verifying goods entering Gaza, arguing that goods destined for families could have been hijacked through Hamas, though that insists the military doesn’t restrict the total amount of help that enters. The Israeli government has said that it welcomes the shipping route provided that goods undergo inspection in Cyprus.
